The popular west coast of Florida has a newly-named hotel, a longtime favorite located close to the beach just a short drive north of the old town of Naples. Recently renovated and under new ownership, the Naples Grande is a great spot for relaxing in the sun and enjoying all that this popular area offers in the way of dining, great bars and lounges, great shopping and sightseeing.

The three-mile secluded beach is protected by a mangrove estuary and you can walk from the hotel in about 15 minutes or take the tram shuttle along a raised boardwalk. Enjoy the Rhodes End beach bar and drink in a great sunset as you revel in the Greek-style décor and flavor. The beach concierge offers complimentary lounges and towels and for a small fee you can rent a clam shell cabana and umbrellas as well as canoes and  paddleboards. Food and refreshments from the beach bar can be delivered to your sunning spot and there’s great shelling along the shore.

If the pool scene is more your thing then choose from The Mangrove Pool, suited to families with a 100 foot waterside that twists around rock formations and landscaped waterfalls or the adults-only retreat at the Palm Terrace Pool with private cabanas and a whirlpool. The resort boasts a beautiful spa with 13 treatment rooms as well as several restaurants and lounges and the Sunset Terrace which offers live entertainment and several theme nights a week.

The 474 rooms are huge and beautifully appointed and all have great views. The bathrooms are heavenly with a huge soaking tub, separate shower and two basins. The accommodations offer a mini-fridge, Keurig coffee-maker, flat screen TV and very comfy beds.
