Royal Caribbean continues to raise the bar within the culinary aspects of their brand as they introduce their “Dynamic Dining” concept, a whole new world of culinary exploration aboard the Quantum of the Seas this November.
Traditional dining, as we know it, is out and now Royal Caribbean is offering five – yes five, main restaurants all of which are complimentary with each providing a different food theme and atmosphere.
These range from American classic cuisine and favorite comfort foods at the American ICON Grill, (open for breakfast, lunch and dinner) to pan-Asian tastes in Silk, and contemporary cuisine at Chic. Then there’s a luxuriant nod to a bygone era and timeless classis accompanied by a formal dress code where every night is a special and elegant occasion at The Grande Restaurant. And exclusively for Suite guests, Coastal Kitchen fuses Mediterranean influence with the riches of California’s farmlands and is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner with a smart casual dress code.
Alternate choices, offered for a modest charge, fall under Royal Caribbean’s Signature Dining concept and now they are taking this to the next level too. Partnerships with such award-winning chefs as Jamie Oliver, Michael Schwartz and Devin Alexander ensure specialty dining for cruise guests as it’s never been done or seen before.
The cruise line’s ongoing collaboration with Michael Schwartz started with the Oasis of the Seas and the highly regarded 150 Central Park Restaurant. A James Beard award-winning chef, Michael has also been named as Experience Advisor for Culinary to Royal Caribbean and will bring the first gastro-pub to sea when Michael’s Genuine Pub is introduced on Quantum of the Seas. Jamie Oliver who is very well known on both sides of the Atlantic will bring his enormously popular Jamie’s Italian to the new ship, the first seafaring outpost of this great dining spot.
And there’s more- a true “feast for the senses” at Wonderland where imaginative cuisine is invented into an elaborate dreamscape – a virtual production in fact which encompasses the ambiance and presentation as well as the amazing menu and food.
And to sum it all up – 18 distinct and dynamic restaurant choices – from high end to casual and everything in between. Royal Caribbean will ensure every taste bud and appetite is wowed in every way, not only with great food but with remarkably designed restaurant spaces and a fresh approach, truly a new era of dining at sea.
