Making Waves: Setting a New Standard in Luxury Travel

Making Waves: Setting a New Standard in Luxury Travel

The Ritz-Carlton Luxury Collection will launch its first yacht in February 2020. Designed to accommodate 298 guests, she will be the first of at least three yachts with two more to be launched in 2021. Being part of the renowned Ritz-Carlton company will ensure superb service and an extraordinary attention to guest satisfaction, but what other elements will set this cruise company apart? Think yachting rather than cruising. With just 149 lavishly appointed suites, all with terraces and an inclusive luxury lifestyle, these yachts will impress discerning guests.

The Living Room

The first vessel (with a name to be announced in December), will sail inaugural seasons in the deep Caribbean, the Mediterranean and the Baltic, cross over for Canadian and New England cruises, and then head back to the Caribbean for a second winter of voyages ranging from four to 14 nights. The yacht is open for business and bookings are being taken now.

There will be an enticing array of dining venues – something for every taste and in keeping with a relaxed, yet casually elegant atmosphere. Choose from a culinary journey with an à la carte experience by Michelin three-starred chef Sven Elverfeld, or simply enjoy some fresh seafood or a steak as you relax at the Outdoor Grill. No matter the mood or occasion, you’ll find exactly what you’re craving – perhaps an Asian Fusion venue with indoor/outdoor dining and a sushi bar, or a delicious meal in the elegant main dining room with its daily-changing menu. Start your day with espresso and fresh pastries at the Living Room Café, and later enjoy late night snacks and nibbles on deck. Naturally, all beverages, fine wines and Champagne are included in the fare, as are gratuities, Wi-Fi and an in-suite refrigerator stocked to your preference.

The Owner's Suite

A personal suite assistant will be each guest’s single touch point, organizing everything from dining to shore experiences, spa services and more, as the mood strikes. The yacht has a watersports platform with kayaking, snorkeling and paddle-boarding that will be used as often as possible, depending on the itinerary.

Recently unveiled is the Shore Collection for Caribbean sailings which features such choices as Iconic Sights, Epicurean Experiences and Active Exploration. Offered in smaller groups or on an individual basis, these bespoke experiences can also be organized by the dedicated shore concierge.
