Emerald Sakara will be joining Emerald Cruises’ nine river cruising Star-Ships and her sister-ship, the brand’s first ocean-going superyacht Emerald Azzurra, which is due to commence sailing on March 11th, 2022 with her eight-day The Best of the Red Sea itinerary.

Reaching an impressive 110 metres (360 feet) in length, the spectacular vessel will exceed all your yacht cruising expectations. Custom-designed to allow unique access to the fascinating ports and harbours only small yachts can reach, you’ll venture off the beaten track, gifting you the freedom to explore uncharted territory.

The superyacht will also boast more space per guest than similar vessels of her size making you feel like being on board your own vessel. And with 64 crew members providing an excellent level of personalized service to Sakara’s 100 lucky guests, you will have nothing more to desire. So discover a secluded spot to read a book, enjoy unimpeded views of the unspoiled landscapes, or arrange to meet new-found friends at one of the ship’s inviting meeting spots.

Expect fresh, locally sourced dinners, thoughtfully crafted by expert chefs, with complimentary sommelier-paired wine, beer or soft drinks with lunch and dinner. And, in the evening, once you’ve enjoyed your meal, you can head to the back of the restaurant to appreciate the ocean breeze from a spacious al fresco terrace, before perhaps a nightcap in the plush, relaxed location of the Horizon Bar & Lounge.

Unwind completely in Sakara’s on board Wellness Centre, where a selection of indulgent spa treatments include massages, facials and even a hair salon. And for those who like to keep up with their fitness regime, there is a well-equipped gym as well as a fitness guide who will hold a variety of classes to encourage you to stretch your legs and find your centre during your time on the water. Also available is a large infinity pool and a Marina Platform with a number of marina toys available, including a water trampoline, floating platforms, paddleboards and snorkelling equipment.

Like her sister-ship, Emerald Sakara’s uniquely designed staterooms and suites will become your private haven, where everything you need is at your fingertips. Eighty eight percent of Sakara’s accommodation options feature their own private balcony or terrace. Enjoy queen size beds with the finest Egyptian cotton linen, complimentary bathrobes and slippers, en-suite bathroom with luxurious toiletries, flat screen HDTV and infotainment system, mini-bar, personal safe, umbrella and other amenities featuring everything you would expect from a world-class hotel. Enhanced amenities are available to guests booking select suite accommodations.

All this is included:

  • Airport transfers to and from your yacht
  • All meals on board
  • Complimentary wine, beer and soft drinks to accompany lunch and dinner
  • State-of-the-art coffee machines and tea stations
  • Complimentary water, restocked daily

  • All taxes and port charges
  • All gratuities on board and for excursions are included

Emerald Sakara will launch in early 2023, sailing the Mediterranean, Adriatic, Red and Black Seas, as well as Emerald’s brand-new destination, The Seychelles. The islands are located in the Indian Ocean, the world’s third-largest ocean, covering almost 20% of the Earth’s surface and stretching 6,200 km between Africa and Australia. This colossal stretch of water borders four continents and provides major sea trade routes that connect the Middle East, Africa and Europe.

Explore the Seychelles archipelago on board an Emerald Cruises luxury superyacht, hopping from one fascinating destination to the next. A true desert island paradise, white sandy beaches, dense rainforest, and a plethora of spectacular wildlife reveals each island’s own charming personality. Each cruise has been carefully designed to give you the freedom to explore at your own pace.

New for 2023!

Tropical Charms of the Seychelles

Departing February 25, March 4, 11 & 18, 2023

The eight-day itinerary will explore Port Victoria (Mahé Island), Sainte-Anne Island, Cousin Island, Praslin Island, Grande-Soeur Island, Curieuse Island, La Digue Island and Aride Island.

Mahé Island: The largest island of the Seychelles archipelago, Mahé Island is great for adventurers. Explore Morne Seychellois National Park and climb to the summit of the island’s tallest mountain, Morne Seychellois. Visit its petite colonial capital, Victoria, home to a beautiful clock tower, and wander the colourful Sir Selwyn-Clarke Market. Discover the Seychelles Botanical Gardens and learn more about the country’s history on a visit to one of its many museums and art galleries.

Praslin Island: As close to paradise as possible, this truly spectacular island is celebrated for its picture-perfect, palm tree-lined white sandy beaches and turquoise sea. At the heart of the island, Praslin National Park is the habitat for an incredible selection of plants, insects and animals. Look out for the indigenous black parrot, embark on explorations of its many walking trails, and look in awe at the UNESCO World Heritage listed Vallée de Mai Nature Reserve.

La Digue Island: The pink granite rocks, pristine white beaches and crystal-clear water of this mesmerizing island look like they’ve been plucked from fiction. Explore this place of calm and serenity and stop for lunch before visiting the traditional Copra Mill, the Old Plantation House (L’Union Estate) with its giant tortoises, and Anse Source D’Argent, the most photographed beach in the world.

Sainte Anne Island: Approximately 5km from Victoria, Sainte Anne Marine National Park is the oldest marine reserve in the Seychelles. Encompassing six islands, Sainte Anne is the largest and the perfect hideaway for those in search of a real-life island paradise. Dominated by a 246m mountain surrounded by lush tropical vegetation, it is a former World War Two Royal Marine base, now populated by five-star hotels. The white sandy beaches of this stunning granitic island beckon you to take some time out, while providing the perfect vantage point from which to spot bottlenose dolphins or hawksbill sea turtles as they come to nest. The surrounding channel is home to over 150 species of marine life and technicolour coral reefs, providing the most idyllic of spots for snorkelling and water sports.
