This week the American Queen Steamboat Company welcomes the newest gem in its American riverboat fleet, the American Countess. Carrying just 245-fortunate guests on board, this new paddlewheeler will visit historical ports along the Mississippi, Tennessee, Ohio, and Cumberland rivers starting with her March 27th inaugural sailing. Her contemporary design offers plenty of personal space, and you’ll love the great forward-facing windows and the portside bar which offers an 80-foot view of the river and its river bank. Take in the sunrise with a cup of coffee as you sit on your own or one of the many open verandas, curl up with a freshly baked cookie and a good book or have a drink in the Grand Lobby with your newly met travelling companions. The rhythm of the river is as slow as a southern drawl and will allow you to enjoy every minute of your time on board.
