The vessel travels exclusively in domestic waters and stops at ports in Ontario and Québec, including Gananoque, Brockville, Montréal, Montebello, Trois-Rivières, Ottawa and Québec City.

Notable excursions include private tours of Upper Canada Village (a heritage park near Morrisburg), Parc Omega (a safari park in Notre-Dame-de-Bonsecours), and Montréal’s Space for Life (a museum district which brings together the city's four most prominent natural museums).

The Canadian Empress is a classic Canadian riverboat built in 1981. It is 108 feet long and has 32 intimate staterooms, all featuring a river view.
