From Hokkaido and Seoul to Zanzibar and Cape Town,
Globus Invites Travellers to Linger Longer Across Asia & Africa in 2027

Some destinations deserve more than a quick visit. They’re meant for more time to wander, wonder and truly connect. That’s why Globus, the world leader in guided travel, is expanding its Asia and Africa portfolio for 2027 with a line-up of all-new Small Group Discovery tours, alongside more than two dozen new itinerary variations featuring city stays, beach escapes and destination extensions across many of its most popular Asia and Africa vacations.

From the temples of Kyoto and bustling streets of Seoul to the game parks of Kenya and coastlines of Zanzibar, Globus is giving travellers more ways – and more time – to experience destinations that reward going deeper. These are the kinds of places that are unforgettable to visit – but often overwhelming to plan on your own. From different languages and complex transportation to vast distances and intricate logistics, Globus takes care of the “how” so travellers can simply live the wow – turning some of the world’s biggest bucket-list journeys into effortless adventures.

When you’ve travelled halfway around the world, every extra day matters,” said Steve Born, chief marketing officer for the Globus family of brands.Asia and Africa are destinations that reward travellers who slow down and stay awhile. They’re also places where touring truly shines. We handle every detail – from transportation and hotels to insider experiences and local experts – so our guests can spend less time figuring things out and more time being fully present in the places they’ve dreamed of seeing.

Big Adventures. Even Bigger Discoveries. Headlining the 2027 lineup are four all-new itineraries – each destined to take travellers deeper into some of the world’s most extraordinary destinations.

•    Legacy of Japan with Hokkaido (13 days). One of the biggest additions for 2027 is the debut of Legacy of Japan with Hokkaido – a Small Group Discovery tour from Tokyo to Kyoto that ventures beyond Japan’s classic highlights into the country’s spectacular northern frontier. Designed for small groups, this itinerary pairs iconic cities with hot-spring towns, artisan villages and authentic cultural encounters other itineraries often miss. Highlights include:
o    Guided sightseeing of Tokyo by subway, from Meiji Shrine to Asakusa Kannon Temple
o    Time in Sapporo, capital of Hokkaido, and a rare cultural encounter with the Ainu – Japan’s Indigenous people – at the Upopov National Ainu Museum and Park
o    Sake brewery tasting, hands-on soba-making class and a graceful maiko dance performance in the hot-spring mountain town of Tendo
o    A Shinkansen (bullet train) ride to Kanazawa for Kenroku-en – one of Japan’s three great gardens – and a gold leaf craft class
o    Hands-on woodcarving with local artisans in the village of Inami
o    A grand finale in Kyoto at the shimmering Golden Pavilion

•    Kenya & Tanzania Safari Expedition (13 days). Also new is Kenya & Tanzania Safari Expedition, an unforgettable safari designed exclusively for Globus’ Small Group Discovery travellers. Guests explore six legendary parks, reserves and conservancies in custom-built safari vehicles, encounter endangered elephants and giraffes, enjoy unforgettable bush meals and connect with local tribal communities– all while tracking Africa’s iconic Big Five across some of the continent’s most spectacular landscapes.

•    Namibia: Land of Contrasts with Johannesburg (13 days). Southern Africa also takes center stage with Namibia: Land of Contrasts with Johannesburg, a Small Group Discovery that pairs Johannesburg with Namibia’s dramatic dunes, deserts and wildlife. Travellers experience Sossusvlei, Swakopmund and Etosha National Park while connecting with Indigenous cultures, searching for desert-adapted elephants and discovering one of Africa’s most breathtaking – and least explored-landscapes.

•    Sri Lanka: Ancient Capitals & Wild Kingdoms (12 days). Rounding out the new Globus introductions is Sri Lanka: Ancient Capitals & Wild Kingdoms, a Small Group Discovery blending ancient UNESCO treasures with extraordinary wildlife encounters. From Sigiriya Rock Fortress and sacred temples to elephant safaris, tea country rail journeys and authentic village celebrations, the journey showcases the remarkable balance of culture, nature and local connection that defines Sri Lanka.

NEW WAYS TO STAY LONGER. Across Asia, Globus is introducing more opportunities to begin earlier, stay longer and see more.
•    Visions of Japan now features seven (7) variations incorporating Hiroshima, Osaka and/or Seoul.
•    Majestic Japan adds three new options that include Seoul, Osaka or both.
•    Discover South Korea now offers extensions to Tokyo, a grand journey through Japan or Jeju Island.
•    Timeless India expands with five new combinations featuring Dubai, Mumbai, Udaipur and Kathmandu.

GAME FOR MORE. Across Africa, Globus is introducing more than a dozen new safari combinations that pair legendary wildlife encounters with iconic cities, tropical coastlines and once-in-a-lifetime adventures, including:
•    Kenya: A Classic Safari, now featuring a Nairobi city stay, Mombasa beach escape or both.
•    Kenya & Tanzania: The Safari Experience, expanded with Nairobi, Zanzibar and unforgettable Uganda gorilla trekking experiences.

COSMOS EXPANDS, TOO. Sister touring brand, Cosmos, is also expanding its Asia and Africa portfolio for 2027, with two all-new tours and additional destination extensions. NEW itineraries include Essential China, featuring Beijing, Xi’an, Chengdu and Shanghai, plus an optional Hong Kong extension; while new tour variations add Seoul to Classic Japan, Goa or Sri Lanika to a refreshed Best of India and Nairobi and Mombasa to On Safari in Kenya.

Whether travellers dream of witnessing the Great Migration, soaking in a Japanese onsen or watching the sun rise over Mount Fuji, Globus and Cosmos continue to create journeys that bring travellers closer to the destinations – and the moments – that matter most.
