The Greek Isles

The Greek Isles have always been central to sailing in the Mediterranean. In 2027, the routes go further. New itineraries aboard Star Flyer and Star Clipper expand beyond the familiar, pairing well-known islands, with places that feel less travelled and more connected to daily life along the quay.

Sail roundtrip from Athens and step ashore in Astypalea and Sifnos, where whitewashed villages rise above working harbours. Continue through Symi and Patmos, where narrow lanes, monastery walls, and waterfront cafes define the day.

Other routes trace the Aegean more broadly. Call on Karpathos and Andros, sail through the Samos Strait, and cross into coastal Turkey before returning to Greece.

These are compact passages where time spent moving between islands rather than rushing past them. Longer voyages open up a different perspective. Sail between Athens, Sicily, and Malta, or follow historic sea routes linking Greece, Turkey, and the Adriatic, where cultures gradually from port to port.

What remains consistent is how you arrive. Under Sail. Into smaller harbours. Along coastlines that reveal themselves slowly.
