Three New Original Productions
MITSUI OCEAN CRUISES is raising the curtain on an impressive new lineup of entertainment aboard the 458-guest, all-suite MITSUI OCEAN SAKURA, highlighted by three new original stage productions created exclusively for the luxury ship’s inaugural season, which began September 19, 2026.
Created in partnership with Belinda King Creative Productions, the three new productions - Encore, Icons and Dance - bring together an international cast of vocalists and dancers performing a diverse repertoire spanning classical crossover, legendary popular music and dance styles from around the world.

Guests are invited to enjoy an elegant evening of classical crossover featuring internationally acclaimed vocalists performing beloved favorites including The Prayer, Hymne à L'Amour and Nessun Dorma. Sophisticated choreography blends classical ballet with contemporary jazz to create a visually stunning performance on the ship's Ocean Stage theater.
Icons
This energetic celebration pays tribute to legendary artists whose music continues to inspire audiences around the world. Featuring timeless hits from The Rolling Stones, Motown favorites and unforgettable songs by The Beatles, Icons invites guests to sing along to the soundtrack of generations.
Dance
Celebrating movement and artistry from across the globe, Dance showcases the ship's international dance ensemble through a vibrant collection of styles, from the elegance of the Quickstep to the passion of the Tango. Original choreography and custom-designed costumes bring each performance to life in a visually spectacular production.
Setting the Stage for MITSUI OCEAN SAKURA
The new productions are created by Belinda King Creative Productions, renowned for developing award-winning entertainment at sea for leading luxury cruise brands. The company's productions, also entertaining guests aboard MITSUI OCEAN FUJI, are celebrated for exceptional choreography, dazzling costumes, world-class vocal performances and memorable musical scores. Each 45-minute production has been created specifically to complement the intimate, luxury guest experiences aboard MITSUI OCEAN SAKURA.
Together with FUNATABI – Beautiful Encounters with Japan, MITSUI OCEAN CRUISES’ signature cultural programming, the three new original productions are part of a diverse entertainment lineup aboard MITSUI OCEAN SAKURA.
