Entertainment is one of Norwegian’s mainstays and we saw three excellent shows, of the highest caliber with great talent, costumes and all were fun and different. We dined at the 6pm show in the Supper Club and saw For the Record: The Brat Pack focused on the iconic 1980’s movies from John Hughes such as The Breakfast Club, Ferris Bueller’s Day Off and Sixteen Candles. The intimate space ensures your involvement in the show and the dinner service is tasty and excellent.

After Midnight in the Escape Theater, is a phenomenal performance with superb costuming and singing. This production focuses on the Golden Age of Harlem’s famed Cotton Club – and is a smash hit musical nominated for a number of Tony Awards. And then a great rocking take-me-back to the 50’s moment, with Million Dollar Quartet – can someone say “goodness gracious, great balls of fire!” This show features the true story of one night in December 1956 when four greats came together in one recording studio – Carl Perkins, Johnny Cash, Elvis Presley and Jerry Lee Lewis – a sure-fire hit.

The Haven is a favorite space – a “ship within a ship” enclave offering a calm and soothing atmosphere with separate key card entry. The rooms are spacious and beautifully decorated and The Haven offers guests their own pool and private indoor/outdoor deck space, a restaurant, several lounges and the services of butlers and concierges too.
We enjoyed The Cellars by the Michael Mondavi family, a beautiful wine bar evoking Napa Valley and the fun 5 O’Clock Somewhere Bar as well as Jimmy Buffett’s Margaritaville, are very popular spots.

The vibrant 678 Ocean Place has some new additions including Bayamo by Jose Garces and Pinchos tapas bar as well as the Food Republic by the Pubbelly Group and The District Brew House – sea views, comfy chairs and great beer. The Waterfront concept continues to be a huge winner and a lovely spot to enjoy a cocktail or dinner as you watch the mesmerizing ocean.
Overall Escape is a fantastic evolution of the Norwegian brand and has a huge WOW factor with all the freedom and flexibility you could want.
