MSC Cruises

Introduction
MSC Cruises is a global cruise line renowned for blending European elegance with modern innovation. Headquartered in Geneva, Switzerland, it offers a diverse fleet of stylish ships sailing to destinations across the Mediterranean, Caribbean, Northern Europe, and beyond. Known for its international atmosphere, refined dining, and commitment to sustainability, MSC Cruises delivers enriching experiences at sea for travellers of all ages.

The Fleet
MSC Cruises operates 23 ships actively in service worldwide, with more on the way as part of a major expansion plan aiming for roughly 27 ships by 2030. MSC’s fleet is growing rapidly, with several state-of-the-art ships already in service and more planned to redefine cruising in the coming decade.

MSC World Class Ships
These represent MSC’s newest generation of ultra-large, environmentally advanced cruise ships powered by liquefied natural gas (LNG) and designed for high-capacity, global cruising:
•    MSC World Europa (2022) – The first of the World Class series, this ship blends cutting-edge technology with expansive entertainment, dining, and leisure options, and operates mainly in Europe.
•    MSC World America (2025) – Built to expand MSC’s presence in the Caribbean and North America, World America offers similar size and features to Europa, combining European design with amenities geared toward those itineraries.
•    MSC World Asia (2026) – Scheduled to debut in the Mediterranean, this newest World Class vessel continues MSC’s growth with innovative venues and services tailored for international travellers.

•    Future World Class Ships – Beyond World Asia, MSC is planning additional World Class ships (e.g., MSC World Atlantic and even later unnamed sisters) expected through the late 2020s as part of its long-term fleet expansion.

Other Recent Additions
•    MSC Euribia (2023) – A modern Meraviglia Plus Class ship featuring LNG propulsion, luxury amenities, and expansive guest facilities.
•    MSC Seascape (2022) and MSC Seashore (2021) – Part of the Seaside EVO series with a focus on outdoor spaces and a closer connection to the sea.

Accommodation Choices
MSC Cruises offers a wide range of accommodation options — from standard interior staterooms and balcony staterooms to lavish suites — but at the top of the luxury scale is the MSC Yacht Club, a ship-within-a-ship experience that elevates your cruise with privacy, exclusivity, and premium amenities. In the Yacht Club you stay in elegantly appointed suites that vary from spacious interior or balcony suites to multi-room Duplex and Owner’s Suites with large terraces and whirlpool baths, all featuring high-end finishes, walk-in wardrobes, Egyptian cotton linens, and thoughtful touches like Venchi chocolates on arrival. 24/7 butler service, priority check-in and embarkation, and a dedicated concierge ensure personalized attention throughout your voyage. Yacht Club guests also enjoy access to exclusive venues — including a private restaurant, lounges, sundeck and pool — as well as complimentary premium drinks, internet, and spa thermal suite access, making it an all-inclusive premium choice for discerning travelers seeking comfort, convenience and a quieter, refined atmosphere at sea.

Worldwide Destinations
MSC Cruises sails to a rich variety of global destinations, from the sun-soaked beaches of the Caribbean and the Bahamas to the historic ports of Europe, the dramatic fjords of Northern Europe, and beyond to South America, the Middle East, Asia and the Indian Ocean. Each itinerary is designed to immerse you in local culture, natural beauty and unique experiences ashore — whether that’s exploring ancient Mediterranean cities, Caribbean coves, or tropical islands. A standout highlight of many Caribbean and Bahamas routes is Ocean Cay MSC Marine Reserve, MSC’s own private island retreat in the Bahamas. Exclusively for MSC guests, this scenic marine reserve features more than two miles of pristine white-sand beaches, turquoise waters, beachside bars and watersports, alongside opportunities to relax with spa treatments or engage with marine conservation activities at the island’s facilities. It’s a signature part of the MSC experience that blends tropical escape with nature-focused leisure and discovery.

Dining
On MSC Cruises, dining is a key part of the onboard experience, with a wide range of options to suit every taste and occasion. Every cruise fare includes complimentary meals in the main restaurants, where you’ll enjoy multi-course menus featuring Mediterranean and international cuisine with daily-changing selections, and generous buffet venues offering everything from breakfast and lunch to dinner and late-night snacks. The buffet features self-service stations with diverse choices like carvery, pasta, kids’ corner and global dishes that reflect MSC’s international style.

For guests seeking something beyond included dining, MSC offers a variety of specialty restaurants (for an additional charge) that showcase diverse culinary styles — such as Butcher’s Cut steakhouse, Asian-inspired sushi and teppanyaki venues, casual Latin-American fare like Hola! Tacos & Cantina, seafood-forward options and more — each providing a unique themed dining experience. Dining packages can be purchased pre-cruise or onboard to enjoy a set number of meals at these venues. There are also plenty of casual and quick-bite spots, from pizzerias and poolside grills to dessert bars and coffee stations, making it easy to grab something between activities or enjoy lighter fare throughout the day.

Relaxation and Wellness
MSC Cruises offers a well rounded relaxation and wellness experience designed to help you unwind, rejuvenate and feel great both physically and mentally throughout your voyage. At the heart of the onboard wellness offering is the MSC Aurea Spa, a serene retreat featuring exotic décor and a wide variety of massage and beauty treatments — from traditional Balinese and Swedish massages to high tech beauty therapies and personalized aesthetic services — all meant to soothe tired muscles and promote well being. Many ships also include a Thermal Area, where guests can enjoy heat based relaxation such as saunas, steam rooms and whirlpools that promote circulation, deep relaxation and a sense of calm beyond the open air deck spaces. For those who like to stay active, MSC’s fitness facilities are equipped with Technogym® machines and panoramic ocean views, plus group fitness classes and space for walking or running, allowing you to balance activity with rest.
Across the ship you’ll also find quiet lounges, solariums and adults only sundecks — perfect spots for reading, meditating or simply soaking up sea views in peace. Altogether, these relaxation and wellness options make it easy to tailor your cruise experience to your personal needs, whether that means indulging in spa pampering, maintaining your fitness routine, or simply escaping into tranquility at sea.

Inclusions
Your MSC cruise fare covers your accommodation, plenty of meals, entertainment, pools, hot tubs, kids and teens clubs and most shipboard basics - while drinks beyond basics, internet, excursions and specialty dining are typically added extras unless you buy them as part of a package or higher tier experience.

Entertainment and Programming
From big stage spectacles and immersive performances to casual music and interactive activities, MSC’s entertainment lineup aims to offer something for every age and interest throughout your cruise. Every evening guests can enjoy Broadway style performances in the ship’s main theatre — musicals, dance, spectacular staging and international casts bring world class entertainment right on board. On many ships (like MSC Bellissima, MSC Grandiosa, MSC Virtuosa and MSC Meraviglia), MSC presents Carousel Productions at Sea, a lineup of immersive original productions blending acrobatics, music, dance and special effects in a dedicated lounge venue — tickets are usually an additional cost but offer a unique performance experience. Days are filled with organized fun like trivia, bingo, dance classes, themed parties and competitions, often scheduled so there’s something to do at nearly every hour.
